Brazil has historically been blessed with many prodigious football players. It is also the birth place of the now global, originally ghetto version, Futsal which is no coincidence.
Researchers observe that on average, futsal players touch the ball at least 7-8 times more than an equivalent football game. They simply have more opportunities to practice their control, decision making and execution.
Artists that put them selves in situations where they are constantly putting in the reps, practicing and making more creative decisions accelerate their progress much faster than those that sit back and merely observe.
Art is not a sport – absolutely. But it is a skill that we can all become better at.
It starts with more touches.
