They have their place.
But it’s a pretty simplistic aesthetic principle to be driven by.
If you are working on something subjective, being driven by a superlative will eventually lead to a dysmorphic and aberrant piece of work.
If this is what you are after to express for example, how fucked up something is, go for it.
But the superlative = better is an unhealthy equation.
Lets pick a better value to lead with.
