Ego is expensive.
Ego makes very affordable actions, extremely costly to perform.
Ego is self preserving, at the detriment of all other attributes in the psyche.
If you have burnt a bridge because you’d rather that than burn your ego, then my guess is you probably aren’t that proud of it.
